OUR PHILOSOPHY 

St. Patrick School of Santo Domingo has a holistic conception of education, which values all areas of the students, promoting and integral development.

We offer an educational program that promotes academic excellence, based on a broad curriculum that emphasizes in strengthening abilities and concepts in all areas of human development. It’s precisely the curriculum that is used as element of orientation in our educational practice and moments of instruction, which is not subject to the use of specific text books, but a wide range of resources as source of information, permitting critical thinking through analysis, comparing different points of view from different authors.

We sponsor an American type curriculum, valuing the culture in the Dominican Republic creating consciousness of the rights and responsibilities of every individual, pursuing patriotic love. Developing in the student’s civility and respect, as citizens of this country, and the world.    

The curriculum at St. Patrick School of Santo Domingo includes subjects like Español, Sociales and Cívica   which are official programs required by the Dominican Republic board of education (Secretaria de Educación), along with other subjects that enrich the integral formation of the students.

We consider that a quality educational program should be oriented towards the diverse abilities in students including all aspects of their personal development. The school values ethnicity in the Dominican Republic and advocates for an academic program with college level courses, American type. This not only offers essential academic abilities, but integrates principles including the commitment to function like a responsible member of a civil community.  Our relevant and efficient educational program promotes intellectual, physical, social, emotional and ethical development in each and every one of our students using constructionist and multi sensorial educational methods.
