The BULLY Project is the social action campaign inspired by the award-winning film BULLY. The Movie sparked an international movement to stop bullying that is transforming kids’ lives and changing a culture of bullying into one of empathy and action.

The BULLY Project is the social action campaign inspired by the award-winning film BULLY. The Movie sparked an international movement to stop bullying that is transforming kids’ lives and changing a culture of bullying into one of empathy and action. The goal is to reach 10 million kids or more, causing a tipping point that ends bullying in America.

“Not In Our School” Anti-Bullying Campaign
It is well known to all the great problem that is being generated in schools by the form of violence or bullying. Our school has organized a campaign against these practices through motivation of values such as respect, friendship, solidarity, and other values that awaken in our students the importance of overcoming obstacles as the lack of control, anger, and violence, among others.
We intend to extend throughout the school year work on the identification of issues and the preservation of the physical and mental health of our students.
The Bully Project: Activities we Do During the Year.
  • Show the teachers and staff the DVD –“THE BULLY PROJECT”.
  • Teachers download resources from site: bullyproject.com
  • Movie Night for Parents.
  • School Walk: Plan a bully awareness event: Design banners and host a school wide walk.
  • Start a “NOT IN OUR SCHOOL CAMPAIGN!”.
  • Sign a Pledge: Have all staff, parents, and administrators to sign a pledge to prevent bullying.
  • What can be done about name calling Campaign: School wide students write letters to someone who bullied them in the past, and tell them how it made you feel. Also, you can write a letter to someone you saw being bullied and you didn’t say anything.

    Were you the bully? Send an apology letter to the person you bullied.

  • Express your actions: Post your picture and pledge on THE LOVE IS LOUDER and BULLY PHOTO WALL bulletin wall.
  • Make a Video-Share your story of being bullied, or show how your community is standing up to bullying. Talk about the importance of being an up stander, creating positive school culture and ending cyber and all other forms of bullying.

WHAT IS BULLYING?

Intentionally aggressive behavior that is made up of repeated, harmful acts that include imbalance of power. Bullying is the most common form of violence and it is hurtful to the victim.

WHAT DO BULLIES DO?

  • Call names.
  • Hit.
  • Trip.
  • Push.
  • Shove.
  • Intimidate.
  • Exclude others.
  • Ignore others.

TYPES OF BULLYING

Physical: includes hitting, tripping, touching, pushing, shoving, taking from others
Emotional: includes ignoring, name calling, intimidating, and excluding
